Bowne Gets Multi-Year Contract from Paul Hastings Law Firm

Press release from the issuing company

Another Sign of BBS' Expanding Leadership in the Legal Marketplace NEW YORK, May 20 - Bowne Business Solutions (BBS), a leading provider of business process outsourcing solutions, today announced that it has launched a multi-year contract to provide a full range of office document services to Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, one of America's top 30 international law firms. More than 100 BBS employees are currently working in Paul Hastings' offices in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County (CA), San Francisco, Stamford (CT) and Washington, DC. BBS has thus helped Paul Hastings to use a single vendor instead of five, create standardized operations across the firm's locations and improve the quality of office service support. Terms of the multi-million-dollar contract were not disclosed. Paul Hastings has more than 840 attorneys in seven major cities in the United States, as well as London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing. BBS is the leader in the business process outsourcing industry among attorneys and investment bankers, providing a suite of litigation support resources, information technology outsourcing or other services to more than half of the top 100 law firms and 8 of the top 10 investment banks. It is one of the primary business units of Bowne & Co., Inc., a global leader in delivering high-value document management solutions. "This new contract supports Paul Hastings' firm-wide goal of providing excellence in client and attorney service during 2002 and beyond," said Tim Wright, the firm's Executive Director. "Bowne Business Solutions has brought us a cohesive team of service professionals who have already become an integral part of our strategy to deliver the best possible client service. We have made a major step forward in providing high quality, efficient and seamless administrative support across all of our offices." "BBS is proud to be a member of the Paul Hastings team and a contributor to its ongoing drive for excellence in client service and administrative support," said BBS President David Shea. "We are also pleased to have the confidence and support of yet another major law firm as we pursue our strategy of expanding the BBS customer base among blue-chip national and global multi-office law firms, investment banks and consulting firms."
