Datalogics eBook solution, Active Textbook, integrated with iFlipd, enhancing new pay-as-you-go textbook platform

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, IL – Datalogics, Inc., the premier source for PDF and eBook technologies for developers, today announced the integration of Active Textbook to create new pay-as-you-go digital textbook platform, iFlipd.

Active Textbook is an end-to-end solution for enhancing, managing, and distributing learning content. Active Textbook includes authoring tools to enhance EPUB2, EPUB3 and PDF content with interactive videos, quizzes, and other multimedia; as well as powerful and customizable eBook readers.  It includes in-browser viewing on all major browsers on laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, and branded native client apps for iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices.

Active Textbook provides a powerful platform that enables iFlipd to bring content and interactive elements directly into a student’s hands. iFlipd’s pay-as-you-go model enables students to break up the cost of textbooks so they only pay for the weeks that they need.

“We are excited to be working with iFlipd to bring their innovative solution to market,” stated Ching Yue, Product Manager, Datalogics. “For so long, college textbooks have been a burden to students, whether it be financial or physical, and this new advancement could be a great option for many in significantly lowering costs and creating more educational flexibility and ownership. The partnership between these two products was a natural one, and by integrating iFlipd and Active Textbook, a truly exciting solution has been created.”

“iFlipd solves a huge problem for students and professors by offering an affordable, intelligent textbook learning platform,” states Kati Radizwon, iFlipd CEO and Founder.  “Along with our extensive content selection, we now have an eBook Reader that is able to reach the full potential of our technical goals. Through Active Textbook, iFlipd supports protection, distribution, and enhancement of content to best fit the student’s academic needs.”
