arifiQ Partners with HSPR Strategic Communications

Press release from the issuing company

Sollefteå, Sweden - The CEO of arifiQ[1] Development, Carina Karlsson, today announces that arifiQ has chosen to partner with strategic communications firm HSPR to support its efforts in the Americas.

arifiQ is an intuitive, cloud-based, self-service estimating and quoting solution, with customers in North America and Europe.

The full-scale estimating system utilizes printers' inventory, including print devices, to give printers or their customers direct, 24/7 access to quotes. Printer set-up time can take as little as minutes. arifiQ supports automatic receipt of ready-to-print purchase orders for printers' digital and offset, sheet and webfed, production lines.

arifiQ also offers:
  • An arifiQ API for easy integration with other systems, within workflows, and for partners who are interested in building their own solutions and interfaces on top of arifiQ technology
  • An Adobe InDesign plugin, to run arifiQ directly during design and subsequent changes
  • A Versioning Estimator, for jobs that must run in multiple languages (or for other variables such as geography)
  • The Gang-Run Optimizer, which calculates options for running two or more jobs together, for the most efficient (and cost effective) use of systems and substrates
Born in a Print Shop
The founders of arifiQ built their breakthrough software at a printing house in Sweden. Personnel wanted to be more available for their customers, and both they and the customers were frustrated with the long hours, and sometimes days, that it took for all the research and decision-making involved in getting a job to final.

Automation Saves Time...
The arifiQ team recognized that estimating, quoting, production scheduling and load balancing were the parts of the process that could be automated; and that significant time could be saved as a result.

...While Honoring the Craft
"We've automated the manufacturing side of printing, but you can't get a job done without the craftsperson; the artist," Karlsson says. "Only humans can pick colors, edit photos; or choose paper, folds and finishes. And only humans can determine what price they, or their customer, should pay for a version of that job.

"So now, when people want to get the job priced and ordered, they can get it into production as quickly as they like."

Meeting the Need in North America
Karlsson says that there is huge demand for the solution in North America, where time is the most precious commodity. The company will also debut more components, as well as new technologies, in the near future.

"We are looking forward to showing everyone in this exciting, progressive, region that we can give them the means to get their jobs submitted and turned around faster than they have been able to in the past. arifiQ is a perfect fit for the demanding, and challenging, US and Canadian markets."
