MELVILLE, N.Y. – Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced that it presented at the recent PAC-12 Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Director’s Conference, hosted by Arizona State University in March. Held in Tempe, AZ, the annual conference brings together environmental health and safety leaders in the higher education community and provides insight into risk and emergency management and other EH&S issues affecting PAC-12 universities. Canon Solutions America’s Enterprise Managed Services Division presented during the event and discussed the strategic alliance partnership between Arizona State University and Canon Solutions America.

The annual PAC-12 EH&S Director’s Conference is a reflection of the ever-evolving importance being placed on the collaborative approach to providing universities with a reinvigorated approach to enterprise risk management and evaluation. The three-day event featured presentations from various leaders throughout the PAC-12 and prompted consistently engaging dialogue that will help shape the future of the higher education system.

Representing Canon Solutions America during the event was the Enterprise Managed Service Division’s Higher Education Advisory Team. A unique addition to the company’s enterprise offerings, the team was developed to build print and output management solutions customized to the complex needs of higher education and healthcare customers. Additionally, the Advisory team brings to the market a robust sales and marketing strategy that is coupled with a commitment to developing print service programs for institutions around the country.

Working together with Scott Briggs, Sr. Strategic Analyst on the Higher Education Advisory Team, two additional team members, Jenn Garmon, Arizona State University business development advisor and Ryan Rij, solution integration specialist, presented to conference attendees regarding the Enterprise Managed Services Division’s sustainable solutions and best practices for higher education. Speaking on topics that included Canon’s corporate philosophy of Kyosei, or “spirit of cooperation,” the role and impact of the company’s Higher Education Advisory Team, and the Arizona State University and Canon strategic alliance, both Garmon and Rij delivered valuable and forward-thinking presentations.

“It was a great honor to be able to share some of our collaborative achievements and best practices from our relationship with Arizona State University,” said Rick Ranft, senior director of Strategic Markets, Enterprise Managed Services Division, Canon Solutions America. Ranft, who heads the Higher Education Advisory Team, also noted the importance of the team’s print program ambassadors supporting higher education programs around the country.

“Our approach in higher education is to develop a program that benefits students, faculty, and staff,” added Ranft. “Events like this serve as a forum for our team to showcase that the business relationship with Canon Solutions America is much more than hardware or software. Through working together with universities like Arizona State, we are focused on creating new and innovative ways for the higher education industry to meet the changing demands pertaining to sustainability efforts and overall risk management.”
