Data Service Solutions Acquires WEBJet 200D

Press release from the issuing company

West Babylon, New York - Data Service Solutions, Bolingbrook, Illinois, jumped into the production inkjet market with the recent purchase of a WEBJet™ 200D from Super Web Digital. DSS started as a data-entry firm, but has grown over the years to include a wide variety of services, such as gift card personalization and mailing, product sampling, data driven direct mail, and packaging and fulfillment.

Prior to using inkjet, DSS used the standard approach of offset-printed rolls that were laser-imaged onsite at DSS. Advances in web digital printing prompted DSS to look at a single-pass "white paper" inkjet approach which could put down the needed color and variable data in a single pass.  After researching a number of inkjet products, DSS decided on the WEBJet™ 200D by Super Web Digital as the solution for their direct mail or commercial.

The deciding factor for DSS was the finishing flexibility of the WEBJet™ 200D.  Most web inkjet presses require separate systems from third party vendors to complete the machine. Super Web Digital manufactures and integrates many web finishing components directly into the press.  The WEBJet™ 200D for DSS includes integrated web perforation and slit-and-merge ability.  With the integration of the MB CAS-Net 52 folder, DSS will be able to produce folded and trimmed letters ready for envelope inserts. The addition of the integration of the folder will save both time and labor for DSS.

Super Web Digital's entire team worked in partnership with Data Service Solution’s executive, production, and engineering staff to arrive at the best custom solution to fit their needs. DSS is now looking forward to this major new addition to their digital print operations, one which will help them rapidly grow that area of their business and increase the bottom line of the business.

Super Web Digital has been in the printing industry for over 40 years. Commonly known for building heavy-duty narrow-web commercial presses, placing over 300 units since the 1980's. The WEBJet™ 200D is designed for Super Web Digital's direct mail, transaction and commercial printing customers with a full range of solutions for handling today's biggest printing challenges. It allows users to print variable data with shorter production runs, while driving down material costs. The WEBJet™ 200D also prints on a wide variety of substrates, and provides an integral duplex function so end users can unwind the paper, print on both sides, and then cut, perforate and stack materials -- all on the same machine
