Muller Martini to showcase digital finishing standouts during Dscoop

Press release from the issuing company

Its scalable, flexible solutions excel in digital, offset, or hybrid production.

On April 14-16, Muller Martini staff and machinery will actively participate in the Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) conference in San Antonio. Dscoop is the largest digital users group in the country and is comprised of HP Inc. graphics solutions customers. Muller is a strategic HP partner and also serves as a conference Diamond Sponsor.

Visitors to the Muller Martini Booth #633 can participate in demonstrations of the all-new Vareo perfect binder by personally binding and trimming digitally printed bookblocks. The end-result? A handy, complimentary journal to utilize throughout the conference.

Muller equipment taking part in these live demonstrations are:

  • Vareo perfect binder. The compact Vareo is a highly innovative finishing solution that allows printers of all sizes the ability to become bona fide digital book manufacturers. It bridges the gap between basic entry-level digital binding equipment and more sophisticated machinery. The Vareo’s inviting price point make it a viable option for those looking to offer their customers true one-off, print on demand, and short-run batch production.
  • SigmaTrimming Center. Designed for the finishing of both offset- or digitally-produced books in a one-off, short- or large-run workflow, the zero-makeready SigmaTrimming Center is particularly beneficial for book manufacturers who employ multiple entry-level perfect binders in their production process.
  • Mitabook. This highly productive hardcover casing-in machine produces a wide range of ultra-short-run books, including photobooks and juvenile books. The Mitabook is renowned for its simplicity, solid design and ease of operation. It fills the gap between manual and semi-automatic binding equipment and more sophisticated, high-volume machines, making it a welcomed addition to the production of like-sized products.

In addition, Andy Fetherman, Muller Martini’s Director of Digital Solutions, will lead a Dscoop conference breakout session that addresses today’s market imperative for more intelligent, flexible finishing solutions. Participants will learn why, in order to meet customer demands, finishing lines and their resulting workflows must be re-engineered to welcome hybrid finishing solutions that can integrate offset with toner-based or digital inkjet, as well as cut-sheet and/or roll-fed processes.
