Direct Mail Operations Leader Joins to Accelerate Company’s International Growth

Westford, MA – Ironsides Technology, a leading provider of automated production tracking systems for the printing and packaging industries, today announced that industry veteran Randy Seberg has joined its Board of Directors. Seberg, who previously served as the CEO of Direct Mail Holdings (DMH), built DMH into a leading domestic and international direct mail operation.

“As a former Ironsides Technology customer, I have a great deal of respect for the work they are doing and the systems they bring to the market,” Seberg said. “Solutions from Ironsides Technology were an important element of our success at DMH. I am excited to join the Board of Directors and to play an active role in the future of the business by bringing this exciting technology to a broader international audience.”

Under Seberg’s leadership, DMH grew from a single facility operation of 100 employees into a multi-facility firm with 800+ employees. DMH is now part of Innovairre, where more than 4,000 employees produce over a billion direct mail pieces annually from locations on four continents.

In addition to his role as a Board member, Seberg will work closely with Ironsides’ sales and management team on a consulting basis. He will help customers gain the most efficient return on investment (ROI) from their Ironsides solutions and in turn, the full benefit of their overall investment in production inkjet technology.

“Having been through a significant production inkjet implementation process at DMH,” Seberg said, “there is an opportunity to improve the ability to accurately track documents through the production process while controlling factors like ink costs and paper waste by job. Collecting and analyzing individual job information can take multiple people and many hours. Ironsides is in the process of developing tools to extract data directly from production inkjet presses into a usable data set that will help production inkjet operations keep costs in line and improve profitability. Our approach is to make the data instantly available in a very understandable format that can be used by owners and press operators alike.”

“Randy brings a unique and exceptional business and technology background to Ironsides,” said Bill Riley, President, Ironsides Technology. “He will be able to make invaluable contributions to the organization and our customers as we launch our next stage of aggressive international growth. He will also play an important role in the expansion of our Nor’Star business process management suite of software. We are delighted to welcome him to the Ironsides family.”
