Press release from the issuing company

KEARNEY, MO - The In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA), has announced a special keynote speaker for their 2016 Annual Conference. Michael D. Brown, former Under Secretary of Homeland Security for President George W. Bush, will be giving a presentation titled, "Personal Resilience At Home and Work: Surviving the Crisis You Never Expected."

The IPMA 2016 Conference takes place at the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Denver, CO from June 20 – 24, 2016. IPMA hosts their annual conference to give in-plant printing and mailing professionals access to the most up to date education and information in their field. This year's conference has the theme of “reaching new heights,” and Brown's presentation will help conference attendees to do just that.

Every year, IPMA chooses speakers who have extensive knowledge and experience to offer conference attendees. Michael D. Brown is well placed to discuss how to handle a crisis when it strikes, and how to prepare for such a moment. As well as serving as Under Secretary of Homeland Security, Brown is a former Director of FEMA, was active on the White House Consequence Management Committee, and was chair of the White House Transition Team for Emergency Preparedness and Response.

“We are very excited to welcome Michael D. Brown as a keynote speaker at this year's conference,” says Carma Goin, Executive Director of IPMA, adding, “his experience in handling crises is second to none.”

Brown is an experienced speaker and author, who has appeared on national television news including ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and Fox. He is also the author of "Deadly Indifference: The Perfect [Political] Storm."

As Brown himself says, a personal crisis can strike with no warning. Having been involved in the handling of national crises including Hurricane Katrina and 9/11, Brown aims to show conference attendees that “no matter how difficult the crisis, you can overcome it.”

Attendees can register for IPMA 2016 by visiting http://ipma.org/2016-ipma-conference-attendee-registration/. Attendance is $1,095 for IPMA members and $1,295 for non-members.
