GMC Software Technology’s EDP Challenge a Success

Press release from the issuing company

Twenty-one employees earn Xplor’s prestigious EDP (Electronic Document Professional) designation in 2015

GMC Software Technology (GMC), a leader in customer communications, today announced that the “GMC EDP Challenge,” a project carried out throughout 2015 in conjunction with Xplor, has resulted in GMC surpassing its goal of 20 employees earning the Xplor designation of EDP (Electronic Document Professional). Launched in 1989, EDP certification was created to recognize those in the industry as subject matter experts. It is a professional designation granted after meeting experience and knowledge requirements in the electronic document industry and submitting a comprehensive portfolio for peer review. This year, 21 GMC employees were certified as EDPs.

“This is an amazing accomplishment and a huge commitment not only to GMC's employees but to their customers and the industry in general.  My congratulations and thanks to GMC for their commitment and support of the Electronic Document Professional program,” said Skip Henk, president and CEO of Xplor International.

Xplor also offers an EDA (Electronic Document Associate) designation to encourage those in the document industry to continue along the path of industry knowledge. In addition to the 21 employees achieving EDP certification, 103 GMC employees received the EDA designation in 2015.

“Often employees have great skills, but not the industry tenure. We are very proud that more than 20 percent of GMC’s staff stepped up to the challenge and earned a professional designation from Xplor as part of our commitment to stay on top of the developments in our industry,” said Scott Draeger, M-EDP, vice president of product, GMC Software Technology. “At GMC, we know employees are the company’s biggest asset, so encouraging this training ensures members of our staff are able to offer our customers the best in industry knowledge and performance.”
