Press release from the issuing company

The Packaging Foundations Certificate provides the knowledge needed to rethink packaging as an integrated system that
supports business objectives

Orlando, Florida, USA - The Packaging School is partnering with Graphics of the Americas (GOA) to present a free preview seminar of The Packaging School's Certificate program. The seminar will take place at GOA, on Thursday, February 18th from 12:30-1:45 pm, and on Friday, February 19th from 2:00-3:15 pm. The Certification being previewed is comprised of 12 courses providing in-depth background and education on the growing packaging segment. Those who successfully complete the online Program will receive a Packaging Foundations Certificate from The Packaging School.

The GOA 2016 exposition and conference takes place February 18-20 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Registration for the show as well as this special seminar can be completed online at www.goaexpo.com.

"Virtually every modern industry relies on packaging engineering and technology to contain, protect, preserve and enhance the value of its goods as they move from manufacturer to consumer," says James Martin, GOA President. "Packaging is, already, the 3rd largest industry, and it is still expanding dramatically. We went to the best resource; partnering with The Packaging School, to bring the most progressive education, latest data, and useful technologies straight to GOA attendees.

"Whether you are a company expanding into packaging, or have a team of experienced professionals, this certification program will not only help educate, but keep your company up to date and relevant."

The Packaging School - Presented by Director Sara Shumpert
The Packaging School seminar at GOA will provide attendees with a preview of the online, 12-course program built with the input of over 600 working professionals. Sara Shumpert, The Packaging School Director, will share a detailed look at the highly positive economic and technological trends in packaging.

Shumpert will also summarize course content with, for example, discussion of basic materials, processes, and growth strategies for experienced, as well as novice, packaging professionals. Specifically, she will be providing a sneak peak of the Packaging Design Strategy course for attendees of the seminar. The goal is for everyone who avails his- or herself of the courseware to become an innovative and efficient competitor in the marketplace.

"Smartphones have accustomed us to accessing the information we need at rapid speed and in short bursts," Shumpert says. "Long training sessions, multiple day workshops, and huge manuals are not a desirable way to learn information. Instead, we break difficult topics down into lessons of bite-sized chunks that you can engage with on any device. These lessons take the form of infographics, quick readings, videos, animations, discussions, and interactive slides. This delivery method empowers individuals to complete courses at their leisure, when they're ready to learn, and still gain an essential education."
