Press release from the issuing company

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) recently announced that 98-year-old Hub Folding Box Company, Inc. has joined the association.

Founded in 1918 and headquartered in Mansfield, MA, Hub Folding Box is a third-generation family-owned manufacturer of paper and plastic folding cartons, single-face B, E, F, N flute laminated cartons, plastic thermoforms, and shipping containers. Hub supplies a variety of end-use segments including liquor, cosmetics, health and beauty, food, confectionary, and consumer goods. In addition, the firm also offers numerous pre-press services such as in-house graphic and structural design, digital imaging (C-T-P), mechanical packaging and engineering, prototyping, and custom tool making.

“I am pleased to welcome our colleagues at Hub Folding Box to the association,” said Ben Markens, PPC President. “PPC is the place for converters to convene in order to better their businesses—many of which have been in operation for decades and have become pillars of their local communities.”

PPC’s membership includes a number of long-established firms, like Hub, that not only provide packaging solutions, but also a steady source of employment and goodwill in their communities. PPC‘s Century Club highlights just such community-sustaining converters that have been in operation for 100 years or more. Some of these firms include Burt Rigid Box, Taylor Box Co., Tap Packaging Solutions, Winston Packaging, and Zumbiel Packaging.

Providing value to converters and industry suppliers of all ages and sizes, PPC membership provides access to industry benchmarking reports, studies, and webinars, legislative updates, opportunities to attend informative conferences and training sessions, and opportunities to participate in publicity-generating programs such as TICCIT and the North American Paperboard Packaging Competition.
