Warren unveils North East Logistics partnership, as regional customer base expands

Press release from the issuing company

Warren, the UK’s leading independent carton and graphical board and paper stockist, has partnered with North-East based logistics company, Tyneside Express Transport Ltd, to provide a fast-action delivery service in order to support its expanding paper and board customer base in the North East region.

The confirmation of the logistics partnership will allow Warren to provide its North-East based customers with a guaranteed ‘next day morning delivery’ service to Newcastle and Sunderland postcodes, with a next day delivery also being provided to all other North East regional postcodes.

From its Leicester warehouse facility, Warren trunks its customers’ orders overnight to Tyneside Express in Gateshead. The orders are then loaded on to various vehicles for multi-drop distribution around the North East region from seven o’clock in the morning.

This new fast-action response logistics partnership will enable Warren to commit to a specific delivery time in support of customers’ production schedules.

Warren has seen its turnover in the North East region more than double as a consequence of the logistics service offerings.

Based in Gateshead, Tyneside Express Transport Ltd, was established in 1998, and its Managing Director is Darren Casey. Since its inception the company has grown to have a strong fleet of articulated trucks which cover the whole of the UK, together with a large depot offering over 30,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space. Tyneside Express is part of TPN (The Pallet Network).

Commenting on the announcement of the logistics partnership with Warren, Darren stated, “We are delighted to be working with Warren and we see this as a long-term commitment to helping them continue with their recent growth.  Our vehicle fleet is tracked using up-to-date and fully integrated telematics software that provides us with live coverage, and gives our traffic desk the information they need to make sure all of Warren’s customers’ requirements are met.”

Kieran Ferguson, Warren’s Managing Director added, “Very soon after setting up our paper division, our new customers were telling us that both our products and sales service were great but our logistics could be improved. We listened to them and, working alongside Tyneside Express, we’ve answered their needs. Given we’ve now doubled our turnover in the North East region; it’s been a win-win for all parties. We are now looking at further improving our service solutions for customers in the rest of the UK, and we will keep the trade updated, as soon as we have any further news or developments to announce.”
