Next Technology Produces Ricoh's New Single Pass Color Printer

LAS VEGAS, Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable DigitalÅ Output company, today introduced the new RICOH AP2600 and AP2600N desktop printers here at XPLOR 2000, in Booth #660. The AP2600 and AP2600N, offering high-speed, high-volume network performance, will be available in December 2000. Recognizing market demands for fast, affordable network color printing without sacrificing resolution, Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable DigitalÅ output company, today previews its new high-speed single pass color printer here at COMDEX 2000, Booth #L5527, in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Set for launch in the second quarter of 2001, Ricoh's high-speed color printer utilizes Ricoh's own single pass tandem color technology. The new color printer prints at more than 25 page-per-minute (ppm) color and 30 ppm black & white at 600 dots-per-inch (dpi) and has a maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. Ricoh's new single pass color printer also offers 11" x 17" and two-sided printing and has versatile finishing capabilities (mailbox, stapling and punching) all in one convenient footprint. Ricoh's new single pass color printer was developed using Ricoh's next generation technology, an open architecture that once more demonstrates Ricoh's visionary lead in developing next-generation solutions. "Every so often the imaging industry experiences a quantum leap forward, and Ricoh's new single pass color printer is just that," said Kirk Yoshida, President and CEO, Ricoh Corporation. "Ricoh's new single pass color printer is designed to deliver high-speed, top-quality color output, without sacrificing its reasonable price point."
