Press release from the issuing company

Focusing 30 Years of Experience on Supporting Aleyant PrintJobManager

Wheaton IL. Aleyant, an innovative leader in providing robust software services to the graphic communications industry at value-driven prices, today announced that industry veteran, Ted Vickers, has joined the company as Product Manager for the soon-to-be released Aleyant PrintJobManager™, a browser-based standalone shop management solution. Vickers was the Director of Global Publishing Solutions in Manila and Cairo for the U.S. Department of State where he worked with Embassy programmers to create automated ordering of various publication offerings. Subsequently, he launched his own consulting business to help commercial printing companies understand and manage production costs.

“I’m excited to be joining Aleyant,” Vickers says. “I have known Greg Salzman, Aleyant’s founder, for many years and have always been impressed with the flexibility, affordability and simplicity of Aleyant’s solutions. I have seen so many companies that have invested in print management solutions yet don’t implement them fully. With Aleyant PrintJobManager, I don’t expect that to be an issue. It’s extremely flexible and easy to use, and the user interface is very intuitive. As an added value, its Zapier compatibility means it can easily be integrated with a huge variety of other business applications. I’m really looking forward to helping printing companies be more efficient and profitable with better real-time management of their businesses.”

Vickers initially joined the U.S. Department of State in 2005 as a Senior Budget Analyst where he played a major role in creating  and documenting a business model that was used by the Department to win a mandated multi-year Most Efficient Organization (MEO) contract, which at that time was the largest ever won by the US Department of State. The proposal included the need for a print MIS system and Vickers subsequently managed its implementation. “The new system allowed us to track, monitor and evaluate costing detail and production data,” Vickers explains, “and it was installed and used on four continents. Building the global publishing system was a natural follow-on to that project.”

“We are extremely pleased to have a tenured professional of Ted’s quality on board,” said Greg Salzman, Aleyant’s President. “Ted is a valuable addition to our team, and one of the most knowledgeable people in his field in the world. Our customers will gain significant benefit from his knowledge and expertise as they consider the future of their businesses.”
