Corel Presents Worldwide Preview of WordPerfect Office 2002 Fall COMDEX, Las Vegas - Today Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSE: COR) presented the worldwide preview of its latest office suite, WordPerfectÆ Office 2002. The upcoming release will include four tightly integrated core applications: WordPerfectÆ 10, the award-winning word processor; QuattroÆ Pro 10, the full-featured spreadsheet; CorelÆ PresentationsÅ 10, the powerful slide show program and CorelCENTRALÅ 10, the personal information manager. Scheduled to be widely available in North America in the first half of 2001, WordPerfect Office 2002 is a state-of-the-art office suite built on a tradition of powerful features, effortless compatibility and time saving innovations which will further satisfy the way people work with their word processor. The latest version will allow current and future WordPerfect users to enjoy their familiar environment while remaining technologically current and compatible. "Today's preview demonstrates early evidence of our continued commitment to develop a suite that addresses our customers' priorities," said Graham Brown, executive vice-president, business applications. "As a result of the feedback we've received from our customers and from the work we've done to date, we believe that this will be the best upgrade to the applications since the release of CorelÆ WordPerfectÆ 5.1." WordPerfect Office 2002 will offer customers performance enhancements designed to increase their productivity, compatibility across applications to facilitate better collaboration, and choice through flexible licensing options and value-added extras like the electronic version of the Pocket Oxford Dictionary - the latest addition to our office suite. With the customer in mind, Corel has partnered with Oxford University Press to provide WordPerfect users with fast and easy access to one of the world's most renowned references. With the click of a mouse, customers will be able to search the more than thirty thousand words that come with the Pocket Oxford Dictionary with the possibility of accessing over seventy thousand words in the Concise Oxford Dictionary. Corel and Oxford University Press have co-developed a business partnership that involves the sharing of revenues and Web resources that will benefit both parties and the customer. "We're looking forward to sharing more of our plans for WordPerfect Office 2002 in the months ahead," said Dave Ludwick, director of product development for business applications at Corel. "The Pocket Oxford Dictionary is just one of the many added features and enhancements that customers can look forward to in our upcoming release.
