Countdown to SGI Dubai 2016

Press release from the issuing company

While inkjet printing is still in its craddle stage, amazing solutions, especially within the digital textile printing arena, are being realised.

Dubai - SGI Dubai 2016, the largest and oldest trade show in the MENA region and beyond features a host of textile printing applications and equipment when it opens it doors tomorrow.

Digital textile printing is one of the highest growth markets. In the UAE and beyond, with its tradition of textile trade those solutions are anticipated to be implemented by many print service providers.

Digital Textile Printing not only provides diversificaion, it also offers new applications and business beyond the traditional markets for sign and graphic printers. Its predicted annual growth rate of at least 26.1% till 2020 already outlines the importance of those offerings.

While traditional screen printing and other analogue technologies are currently still widely used, digital textile printing enables shorter turnarounds, faster time to market and personalisation as well as individualisation of any kind. New applications within the indoor and outdoor design markets are bound to hit the streets within a short time frame.

"Inkjet printing, a technology that is hundreds of years old, only recently came into the focus of printers and digital textile printing is one of the newer applications. However, studies show that employing inkjet technology delivers not only significant savings but also reduces the environmental impact of textile printing. More than 75% of water usage can be saved employing digital textile printing in comparison to traditional textile printing. Likewise more than 40% electricity can be saved this way. This is something that everyone should be aware of", says Mr. Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC. "We are looking forward to the host of solutions and applicatiions that will be showcased at SGI Dubai 2016 that opens its doors tomorrow. Print service providers and printers from the Middle East and Africa will experience the latest equipment at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Dubai."

SGI Dubai 2016 will take place from January 10 – 12, 2016 at the World Trade Center in Dubai (UAE).
