ICC Announces Call For Colour Management Research Funding Proposals

Research Funding Proposals Invited from Graduate Students Working in Colour Imaging

Reston, VA – The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies, serving as Secretariat to the International Color Consortium (ICC), announces that the 2016 call for proposals from graduate students seeking funding for their colour imaging research is now open.

Each year, the ICC awards funds for original research that serves to further the organization's goal of "creating, promoting and encouraging the standardization and evolution of an open, vendor-neutral, cross-platform colour management system architecture and components.

A maximum of $10,000 will be awarded, which may be used for subsistence, travel, or the purchase of research related items including equipment, software licenses or publications.

The submission deadline is April 15, 2016. Each entry will be judged on its quality and degree to which it meets the award criteria, together with the funds available and current ICC priorities. The recipients, along with details about the awards will be announced by June 30 on the ICC web site; additionally, outputs of the research will be published online.
