Sheeter to Convert Light Sensitive Material Now Available

Press release from the issuing company

Maxson Automatic Machinery Company, (Westerly, Rhode Island), offers the Photographic Film/Paper Sheeter which is specially designed to convert rolls of photographic papers and films into finished sized sheets in small pack quantities. It is designed to operate in a dark room environment and handle sensitive product without damage to the material’s emulsified surface.

A shaftless unwind facilitates loading rolls under dark room conditions.  Using microprocessor controls, the single rotating knife cutter maintains highly accurate lengths. No adjustment for sheet squareness when changing length is required. The sheeter can convert webs up to 65” (1650 mm) wide.

The Sheeter can include a sophisticated delivery system that diverts unacceptable sheets from the finished stack and a board inserter that introduces protective boards on the top and bottom of the sheet packet at preset count. Without reducing the sheeter’s speed, an automated conveyor accumulates packs as few as 10 sheets and off loads the reams to a packaging system
