STAMFORD, Conn. - Pitney Bowes, a global technology company that provides innovative products and solutions to power commerce, today announced that Bob Guidotti has joined the company as Executive Vice President and President Software Solutions, reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer Marc B. Lautenbach.

As the global leader of Software Solutions for Pitney Bowes, Bob will help the company expand its global footprint as it rolls out a new suite of vertical solutions in 2016. Built on the company’s leading customer engagement, location intelligence and data quality technologies, the new solutions will address common business challenges – including fraud management, compliance, network optimization and customer communication – shared by clients across various industries.

Previously, the global software business was managed by Mark Wright, who led the company’s Digital Commerce Solutions business unit. Recognized for his strong track record of growth, Mark has been named as the Executive Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives. In his new role, Mark will concentrate on identifying new spaces for Pitney Bowes to grow its digital and physical technology capabilities, and focus on building new pathways to clients. In addition to concentrating on cross enterprise growth initiatives, Mark will focus on enhancing the company’s products and services portfolio through strategic partnerships and acquisitions. He will continue reporting to Marc B. Lautenbach.

“As we head into a new year, and begin another year in our transformation journey, we remain committed to positioning our business for maximum growth,” said Marc B. Lautenbach. “Bob’s extensive software experience will serve as an immediate asset to us as we target and enter new markets, as well as extend our reach with clients, to deliver new sources of value. Mark’s entrepreneurial nature will guide us to spot new growth areas to influence and take advantage of so that we can fulfill our long-term goals.”

Bob comes to Pitney Bowes with more than 20 years of experience in the software business. Most recently, Bob was General Manager, Software Sales at IBM, where he was responsible for sales, technical sales, and channels for the Software portfolio worldwide. Bob held a series of executive positions including head of IBM software sales in North America, where he managed and directed a team of more than 7,000 people and more than $8 Billion of revenue in annual sales and services.
