Impostrip On-Demand imposes EPS, PS, PDF and TIFF files with no font limitation, and works in automated hot folder mode or hands-on mode. On-Demand comes with a comprehensive set features such as virtual  paper-folding module, Origami, which automatically creates templates with page orientation, numbering, folding and cutting marks in place. Other advantages of On-Demand is that it works independently of any DTP application, accelerating and automating plate production.   In the future A.B.Dick is also planning to offer Ultimate’s flagship imposition product, Impostrip and Impostrip Solo with client-server architecture to commercial printing operations using 4-up and 8-up CtP.   Joanne David, Vice President, Ultimate, comments, “A.B.Dick customers are looking for a software alternative to manual stripping that helps them get to press more quickly, ease-of-use and reliability are particularly critical. Impostrip meets these criteria. We provide unprecedented speed for file indexing and printing, with the advantage of automation. Impostrip ships with free QuickStart videos that walk A.B. Dick customers through the process of imposing and printing a plate– we’re teaching A.B.Dick customer’s how to get more value from their DPM investment by using Impostrip, instead of an imposition plug-in or QuarkXPress which require repetitive and time wasting production tasks, including template building and page sequence numbering with manual folding dummies”.   Stu Gallup, Director, Digital Systems Marketing, A.B. Dick, says, “Our DPM Digital PlateMaster line with Polyester plates has revolutionized the market in terms of affordability and performance. Many of our customers are making their first steps into bringing plate making in-house, so we wanted to provide a comprehensive imposition solution to ensure they’re making plates to capacity each and everyday. Impostrip works seamlessly with our Momentum workflow, and provides our customers with an added advantage of working more quickly and more accurately, therefore getting the most value out of their DPM and consumable investments.”
