GMG Asia appoints Bernard Sun as Sales & Marketing Manager

Press release from the issuing company

Tuebingen (June 16, 2004) GMG, specializing in high-end color management and proofing solutions, announces today it has appointed Mr. Bernard Sun as sales & marketing manager for southeast and western operations of GMG Asia. Mr. Sun’s primary responsibilities will be to establish and supervise GMG sales channels and manage several key customer accounts, supporting the company’s resellers. Mr. Sun has more than 13 years of experience in the graphic arts industry with expertise in many areas of prepress, offset printing, narrow web flexo, and digital proofing. Mr. Sun comes to GMG from BuildEast Graphics, where he was marketing director responsible for all key technology decisions, and core market planning and execution. Previously, Mr. Sun worked for EAC (Heidelberg Malaysia) as sales application specialist. “Since the establishment of our office ten months ago, GMG’s SouthEast Asia business has been growing rapidly. Our distributors are performing very well and we are setting up installations in many major sites across the region. With DRUPA completed, and armed with an entirely new portfolio of GMG products, we believe that it is an opportune time to increase our investment in the region – to ramp up our momentum and broaden the reach of GMG Asia,” comments Henry Ng, Director of Business Development, GMG Asia. “We are very pleased to have Bernard on board. With his help, our GMG Southeast Asia operations should be more efficient. We can focus more effort to delivering marketing and technical support to our channels and key customers. In turn, we expect our efforts will translate into faster – and even more numerous – success stories.” In related move, Mr. Yan Wei Phin will assume expanded responsibilities as regional technical services manager for GMG Asia. He will oversee all technical communications between GMG and the company’s GMG partners in Asia, as well supervising all training and support issues throughout Asia.
