Countdown to Connect 2004: EFI User Conference Begins June 27th in Las Vegas

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--June 15, 2004-- EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, is counting down to the fifth annual Connect users' conference, taking place June 27-30th at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. With more than 160 sessions and over 800 attendees -- including EFI customers, industry leaders, media and analysts -- the four-day conference will offer participants an information-packed, interactive opportunity to discuss industry trends, test drive the latest software updates, exchange ideas, and attend a broad range of educational and keynote sessions. "Since this is the first Connect since EFI acquired Printcafe, we have even more exciting product updates and news to share than past conferences, and we're especially looking forward to learning more about what's on our customers' minds," said Marc Olin, Vice President/General Manager, EFI Commercial Print Systems. Keynotes and Expanded Sessions The Connect 2004 program has been expanded with new content and additional conference tracks, with more than 150 breakout sessions offering practical applications and discussions tailored to leverage the tremendous success of EFI's print MIS solutions. The keynote speakers are: Andrew D. Paparozzi, chief economist of NAPL (National Association of Print Leadership), who will discuss "Success Factors of the Profit Leaders"; Rab Govil, president of PODi, the Digital Printing initiative, who will speak on the digital printing revolution; and General Gus Pagonis, a retired three-star U.S. Army General and the current Executive Vice President of Logistics for Sears, who will discuss leadership and logistics, highlighting what printers can learn from the Gulf War. Responding to widespread interest in JDF, the industry standard for workflow connectivity, a special JDF panel has been added. The panel will feature experts from Adobe, Screen, and Xerox, Gail Nickel-Kailing of Business Strategies, Inc., and EFI customer JohnsByrne.
