Thursday, June 10, 2004

Press release from the issuing company

San Francisco, California (June 9, 2004) The International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press, and Postpress (CIP4) today announced the appointment of Marc van Vught of Screen to the position of Finance officer, a member of the CIP4 Board of Directors. In making this announcement, CIP4 Chief Executive Officer, Martin Bailey, said, "Van Vught brings a wealth of experience to this position. He began his career in the auditing-consultancy business with KPMG, the Netherlands. In 1996 he joined Screen and became one of the senior managers within the European organization. As Finance Manager of Screen Europe he contributed to the successful changing European business model to redefine the balance of direct and distributor sales. In 2001 Van Vught was appointed to the Management Team of Screen Europe, based in Amstelveen, The Netherlands, with the responsibility for Finance and Human resources. Please join me in welcoming Marc to this position." Major decisions within the CIP4 organization are made by the Advisory Board; with day-to- day decisions made by the Board of Directors, who are assisted by the Executive Director. The Advisory Board includes delegates from every Partner member as well as delegates elected to represent the Full and Associate members. The elected delegates serve for a period of two years. The Advisory Board, based on nominations from the membership, selects the Board of Directors. "I believe this will be an interesting assignment," said Van Vught. "Within a few years the CIP4 worldwide organization has become an authority within the Media Technology industry. My objective will be to support the CIP4 organization in a general way in their process of improving, developing, and growing."
