NEW YORK -  The 7th Annual Digital Book World Conference + Expo(DBW) returns to New York, March 7 - 9, 2016 at the New York Hilton Midtown. DBW 16 is the premier event (@DigiBookWorld - #DBW16) for book publishers and content providers of all sizes and business models who plan to thrive through and beyond publishing's digital transformation. Registration and program details are available at digitalbookworldconference.com (the best early-bird rates expire Dec. 15).

Digital Book World Conference + Expo --- produced by F+W, A Content + eCommerce Company in partnership with Publishers Launch Conferences --- is expected to gather more than 1,500 professionals from the book and digital content community. In addition, more than 100 noteworthy speakers will present on key topics.

At DBW 16 --- the largest event worldwide dedicated solely to the business of digital publishing --- attendees will learn how to stay nimble in the digital-driven, global content market and capitalize on every opportunity, with the help of digital media's most innovative thinkers and influencers. Conference delegates will get valuable perspectives from both publishing leaders and visionaries from outside the industry.

Big Tech Is Changing the Publishing Ecosystem
"Our world is constantly being shaped by the big technology companies, so a primary focus at the Digital Book World Conference + Expo will be how those tech companies are shaping the new ecosystem of the book business," explains Mike Shatzkin (@MikeShatzkin), DBW conference chair and founder of The Idea Logical Company. "And that doesn't just mean looking to the obvious tech company, Amazon, which is almost every book publisher's biggest trading partner. It means Facebook and Google, which have become perhaps the industry's primary marketing mechanisms. And, of course, it also means Apple, which has become the second-leading ebook provider to Amazon."

Shatzkin adds, "The industry has to keep innovating and adjusting as technology changes, so DBW 16 will present a variety of perspectives from leading influencers and change agents in technology, publishing and digital media, to drive the industry forward in the most practical, relevant and actionable ways."

Focus on Transformation
Michael Cader (@PublishersLunch), founder of Publishers Lunch and Publishers Marketplace.com, says, "While the ebook market on its own has matured, the transformation and remaking of publishing companies has not stopped at all, as digital innovations and efficiencies touch every aspect of the publishing process and define the market. The organizational shift continues, and businesses and professionals figuring out how to compete in today's evolving marketplace should attend DBW 16 to discover ways to develop, build and transform their business alongside the rest of the industry."

Shatzkin and Cader are DBW's partners from Publishers Launch Conferences --- two of book publishing's most respected analysts of the industry's digital transition.

The Industry's Elite
DBW 16 attendees comprise a cross-section of the content industry's who's who, from presidents, CEOs, editors, marketers and publicists of large and small publishing houses, newspapers, magazines and digital-only media firms, to agents, authors, booksellers, librarians, technologists and others. All will learn from the leading influencers in digital media at DBW 16: prominent thought leaders, top executives responsible for developing their organizations'digital strategies, innovators who are bringing new ideas and new technologies to market, and those experts who are equipping the book and digital content community with key strategies.
