Aurora Specialty Textiles Group Expands Digital Printing Industry Reach at SGIA EXPO 2015

Press release from the issuing company

YORKVILLE, Illinois - From giving three presentations in the Digital Textile Zone to launching the company’s new ExpressionsTM canvas line, Aurora Specialty Textiles Group  (ASTG) dramatically expanded its reach within the digital print media industry at SGIA EXPO 2015.

At the show, Aurora also launched its new eCommerce online ordering capabilities, which now can be accessed through the home page of the company’s website. Meanwhile, Aurora staff met with dozens of new and current customers, and began reaching out to the industry and show attendees via a new Instagram site which was also launched at the show (aurora_textiles ).

A video version of one of the presentations will soon be posted on YouTube. Titled Shed the Fear & Join the Fabric Revolution, the presentation covered common misconceptions related to printing on textile products and provided advice on how to move successfully into printing on textiles. That talk was led by Christian Smith, Aurora’s South Central Region Print Media Account Manager.
Meanwhile, Mark Shaneyfelt, Aurora’s Director of Sales and Marketing for Print Media, gave a presentation on Profitable Trends in Fabric Printing.  A written version of Shaneyfelt’s delivery will soon be published in the November/December 2015 issue of SGIA Journal

Shaneyfelt also spoke on a panel of industry experts about the growing interest in fabric substrates for digital printing.
“It’s really exciting to be part of a successful show like SGIA and the vibrant, growing digital printing market,” said Shaneyfelt.  “At SGIA we saw many familiar faces, met many new people and heard a great deal of good news about digital printing from people in the industry. This is a rapidly growing market and we see a multitude of new opportunities opening up for everyone.”

In addition, he said, “Response to our new optimized canvas line, ExpressionsTM, was very strong. This parallels major trends we saw at the show, which include the dramatic increase in soft signage fabric printing and wide format printing. There’s a growing awareness of the impact digital textile printing is having. It’s a visual business and cutting edge as it relates to a new age of advertising and promotions.

“For us, it’s very exciting to be one of the industry’s leading providers of textiles designed specifically for this expanding market and we are looking forward to a great year ahead in 2016 and another great show at SGIA next year in Las Vegas,” Shaneyfelt said.
