Callprint acquires Leeds-based Link 88 to add to its regional operations

Press release from the issuing company

Print and visual communications specialist Callprint has announced further investment and expansion by adding to its core businesses, with the acquisition of the business operations of Leeds-based Link 88.

This latest acquisition adds to Callprint’s regional facilities, and follows the recent purchase of Manchester-based PPS Print Communications, which Callprint acquired in June this year.

Link 88 is based on the Carlton Trading Estate, Leeds, with close and vital links to the motorway and Leeds City Centre. Callprint has been looking to add to its regional outlets in the Yorkshire region for some time, and the Leeds acquisition will provide a vital back-up and support to its operations in the North, such as Manchester and Liverpool, as well as offering a full service facility to the other regional hubs within the Callprint Group.

Callprint has also taken on all six members of the current Link 88 staff, and the business will continue to run uninterrupted and service its clients as it is converted into being a full Callprint operation, with investment in both equipment and recruitment planned to expand the operation.

The Link 88 facility conversion into a Callprint operation will be handled and overseen by Callprint Group’s Birmingham region Sales Director Fabian Porter, assisted by Manchester Regional Director Kayvon Dadfar.

Established for over 35 years, Link 88 operates from a 6,000sq ft. facility, and currently handles all kind of digital and screen printing requirements, providing a reliable and efficient service for its clients. Link 88 produces items such as point of sale material, posters, exhibition graphics, large format displays, vehicle graphics and invitations & cards amongst others.

Commenting on the latest acquisition and addition to Callprint’s operations, Callprint Sales Director, Fabian Porter, stated, “Callprint has been looking to acquire in the region for some time, as we have a number of national accounts in the Leeds and Yorkshire region, and this provides a strategic facility for us in the north.”

Fabian added, “We will also be looking to add to the staffing levels with the commencement of a recruiting campaign, as well as adding both small and wide format facilities to the current service offerings that Link 88 has been providing, which includes screen printing. The Jupiter Visual Communications service will also be offered from this facility, and all of this will enable us (Callprint) to offer a full service solution to the regional clients, as well as supporting the other regional hubs as and when required with the additional screen printing offering.”

This latest acquisition underlines Callprint’s original statement of intention to continue to grow and develop its business operations.
