Bowne Enters Into an Alliance With Data Impact

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK, June 3 -- Bowne Enterprise Solutions (BES), a global leader in providing high-value document management solutions and a division of Bowne & Co., Inc., and CD-COM Systems, Inc., which operates under the name Data Impact, a data and document application service provider, today announced an alliance through which Bowne Enterprise Solutions will market Data Impact solutions as part of its product offerings. Based on demand from both current and prospective customers, Bowne wished to expand and further enhance its ability to electronically deliver personalized communications by adding archiving to its already robust set of products and solutions. The Data Impact services complement Bowne Enterprise Solutions' portfolio of document management solutions. As personalization in print-on-demand grows, clients require the archiving of personalized digital documents to ensure responsive customer service and to maintain an overall view of what has been delivered to customers. Archiving services are natural extensions of Bowne's automated composition, digital printing and electronic delivery of personalized documents. "Bowne's ability to create, produce and electronically distribute customized communications enables our customers to deliver best-in-class client-centric communications," said Ron Ens, senior vice president, Product Marketing, Bowne Enterprise Solutions. "Data Impact enhances these capabilities by enabling efficient, cost-effective archiving services. Data Impact was selected as our partner in this effort because they have both the capacity we need and the responsiveness we demand." "The needs of Bowne's customers mandate the timely, efficient storage of communications in a variety of formats and easy retrieval through a variety of delivery mechanisms, including hard copy, e-mail, and fax," said Curtis Thompson, Data Impact's National Accounts Manager. "Data Impact's solutions for processing, archiving and distributing documents both electronically and on physical media will greatly enhance Bowne's ability to provide its customers with the highly customized, specialty communications they need to be competitive."
