Agfa Graphics to Demonstrate Two High-productivity and Versatile Jeti Systems at SGIA 2015

Press release from the issuing company

Jeti Tauro and Jeti Mira take the floor in a galaxy (Atlanta) not so far away

Elmwood Park, NJ – Agfa Graphics is bringing the Jeti Tauro and the Jeti Mira – the two newest Jeti systems in the galaxy of UV inkjet printers – to SGIA 2015. Be prepared for demonstrations of extremely vivid printing at the debut. The expo is being held at the Georgia World Congress Center in not-so-far-away Atlanta from November 4–6.

The Jeti Mira is a 2.69m (105.9-inch) true flatbed printer featuring a moving gantry that prints on x- and y-axes with pinpoint precision up to 2440 ft²/hour. Built for heavy industrial workloads, the Jeti Mira produces outstanding quality in six colors plus white with optional primer or varnish. The 7pl droplet size produces stunning detail and razor-sharp text as small as 4-point type, both positive and negative. The 'Print & Prepare' mode offers non-stop printing by allowing media loading on one side of the table while the other is printing. Six vacuum zones with four sets of registration pins enable fast, accurate double-sided printing.

The versatile Jeti Mira is available in two flatbed models MG2716 (8.8’ x 5.24’) or MG2732 (8.8’ x 10.5’) with one or two rows of print heads for higher productivity. The roll-to-roll option is field upgradeable and designed to minimize waste.

The Jeti Tauro is a state-of-the-art, high end 2.5m wide UV hybrid printer designed to withstand very high work loads (24/7 – multiple shifts). Featuring six colors plus white and/or primer option and speeds up to 2960 ft²/hour, Jeti Tauro features 32 Ricoh Gen5 heads, each with four nozzle rows for two colors per head. Designed for both rigid and flexible material printing, the Jeti Tauro’s vacuum-belt drive features excellent motion control that, regardless of the media being printed, results in extreme dot positioning accuracy. The Jeti Tauro comes standard with manual media loading tables which are perfect for smaller runs. Advanced automation options include a semi-automated board feeder and stacker to improve production efficiency. Optional white offers multi layer printing for pre-white, post-white and sandwich white (color/white/color) output.

The Jeti Tauro can print on virtually anything: banners, posters, signage, exhibit graphics, POP, back-lit, front lit, self-adhesives (labels), DVDs, wood, party gadgets, architectural and interior decoration, ceramics, lenticular printing and more.

“We build our UV Inkjet printers with precision and technical excellence,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. “Our goal is to deliver the best quality and the maximum productivity while keeping our customer’s objectives top of mind. We actively help our sign and display customers achieve new business milestones. If we can help them be successful, we have done our job.”
