Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, Illinois - Cushing, a Chicago-based digital printing firm, has been named a 2015 Loyola Illinois Family Business of the Year Awards finalist. Now in its 22nd year, the awards celebrate family-owned businesses which demonstrate a strong commitment to industry, community and family. Cushing has assisted businesses in Chicago and across the United States since 1929.

“We are excited to be named a finalist,” said Cathleen Cushing-Duff, President at Cushing. “Family and the Chicago community play an integral role in our history and future.”

Presented by the Family Business Center at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business, the awards celebrate business success, multi-generational family member involvement and innovation. More than 100 entries were received, from an array of industries and markets. A panel of judges come together to determine the final candidates.

“It is an honor to be recognized with these amazing local businesses,” said Joseph X. Cushing, Executive Vice President at Cushing. “The credit goes to our outstanding team who brings each project together.”

Cushing started in the blueprinting industry over 80 years ago, building relationships in the architecture, construction and engineering communities. Product offerings have evolved but the philosophy of providing incredible customer service has remained. Today, a new generation of Chicago-based companies are discovering this creative solutions provider.

“The Illinois Family Business of the Year Awards program gives us the opportunity to celebrate the incredible contributions of family business to our communities and our economy,” said Andrew Keyt, executive director of the Loyola Family Business Center. “The Center is pleased to honor these dedicated families and their businesses as we celebrate 22 years of recognition."

The awards culminate with a ceremony celebrating finalists and award recipients. The gala takes place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago on Thursday, November 19, 2015. For more information, visit: http://www.luc.edu/quinlan/fbc/fboy.shtml.
