UK’s Largest Packaging Event Gears Up for 2016

Thursday, October 22, 2015

Press release from the issuing company

The UK’s largest packaging event expects further growth following its record breaking footfall last year. The shows dynamic core brands - Packaging Innovations (incorporating Contract Pack and Ecopack), Empack and Label&Print - return to the Birmingham’s NEC on 24 & 25 February 2016, bringing together the very best in packaging and print from right across the globe.

The flagship packaging event will play host to over 350 exhibitors, many of whom will be launching new products and innovations to thousands of packaging and print designers, retailers, buyers and key decision-makers.

Gerry Sherwood, Event Director for Easyfairs’ UK packaging events, says: “The feedback from visitors and exhibitors last year was fantastic, but we want to ensure we exceed all expectations again this year. We pride ourselves on having the very best and brightest from the packaging industry under one roof, with a comprehensive offering of informative and inspirational speakers and symposiums. It is this appeal which draws in major names such as GlaxoSmithKline, Coca Cola, Britvic, Mars and PZ Cussons who all attended last year.”

Exhibitors and visitors can expect a unique experience at the show. Exhibitors get the opportunity to network and interact with some of the biggest buyers and decision-makers within the packaging industry, whilst the visitors get to see the very best packaging innovations and solutions right across the whole supply chain.

Returning exhibitor, Stuart Kellock, Owner of Label Apeel, remarked: “Once again Label Apeel will be at Label&Print 2016. We’re regular exhibitors at the show as it provides excellent front line access and interaction to existing customers and potential clients. The show celebrates innovation, creativity and best practice from the print and packaging arena, which marries well with our own values.”

Glenn Doherty, Owner of The Plastic Bottle Company, who visited the show last year, agreed: “There is plenty of opportunity for SMEs and large businesses looking for the latest packaging innovations and ideas. It’s the best packaging show around.”

New for 2016 will be an array of new features, including The Great Innovation Debate, The Innovation Showcase and The Rising Star Scheme. This is just a glimpse at what can be expected at the show this year.

Sherwood concludes; “We are very proud of the content we provide at both our London and NEC events. A tremendous amount of time and effort goes in to getting the top name speakers and organisations to provide their tips, insight, case studies, experience and more. 2016 is going to be no different, with the Pharmaceutical Symposium returning along with the BIG Print Debate and an exciting mix of seminars providing the latest thinking and development, plus real-life examples of innovation in action.”
