TTP Meteor drives a new generation of low cost printers

Press release from the issuing company

Melbourn, UK – TTP MeteorTM further expands its product portfolio with the addition of the PDC-4GH2220 Print Driver Card and Ricoh GH2220 Printheads. The printhead and electronics will be shown by TTP Meteor at the InPrint Industrial Print Show in Munich from 10 - 12 November 2015 (Hall A6, Stand C50).

After more than 10 years of research and manufacturing optimisation, Ricoh has released the GH2220 Printhead and has chosen TTP Meteor as an authorised distribution partner. Supporting aqueous and solvent-based inks, GH2220 Printheads coupled with Meteor’s new PDC-4GH2220 Print Driver Cards offer unrivalled ease of integration and value for money in applications such as wide format graphics, textiles and coding & marking. A PC running Meteor’s print system software and PDC-4GH2220 boards can drive up to 512 GH2220 printheads.

Clive Ayling, TTP Meteor’s General Manager said, “Meteor has been a trusted Ricoh partner since 2011. We are pleased to further expand this relationship by offering both the GH2220 Printhead and our new PDC-4GH2220 Print Driver Card. This cost efficient combination of head, electronics and software will provide our customers with ease of integration and the confidence of long-term, reliable supply for high volume production requirements.”

The PDC-4GH2220 Print Driver Card and the GH2220 Printhead are now available from TTP Meteor for selected OEMs.
