NPOA Launches New One-Day Road Show Program

Press release from the issuing company

Printers' Association to Roll Out First Event in Boston, MA November 13, 2015

Melbourne, FL – The National Print Owners Association (NPOA) has announced a new regional educational program of one-day Road Show events. The first will be held Friday, November 13 at the Mimaki headquarters in Auburndale, MA from 10 am to 4 pm.

“These one-day events are not replacing our popular Print Owner’s Conference which this year will be held April 14-16, 2016 in San Antonio, TX,” according to NPOA Director of Programs and Events John Henry. “Rather they are designed as a way to meet more of our members and provide them with additional knowledge and networking.”

According to NPOA Executive Director John Stewart, NPOA plans to have at least two more such events in 2016 at different locations around the country. The program is designed to provide lower cost educational opportunities for printers who may not be able to attend the annual three-day Owners Conference.

Sponsored by Mimaki, the inaugural Road Show will feature a morning session presented by Grant Graphic’s Skip Grant titled: “Wide Format – Print, Cut & Make Money!” Grant was a highly rated speaker at the NPOA 2015 Owners conference. Wide format has become a hot topic in the small commercial printing industry segment and NPOA’s Wide-Format Study has been a highly popular download from the association’s website.

The program also will include an afternoon panel discussion featuring three NPOA board members who have added large format during the last 2 years. They will talk about how it helped their printing business and their marketing and what pitfalls they encountered along the way. That will be followed by a tour of the Mimaki headquarters and an early evening happy hour.

NPOA members Chuck Pappas, Arlington MA, and Jim Sullivan, Chelmsford MA, are serving as event hosts. Cost for NPOA and Printing Industries of New England (PINE) members is $49. Cost for non-members is $70. Registration information and additional Road Show details can be found at the NPOA website, www.printowners.org.
