Callprint Invests Further in New Wide-Format Equipment

Press release from the issuing company

Print and visual communications specialist Callprint has announced further investment with several significant new wide-format printer purchases and upgrades, all of which will help improve production output and workflow throughout the company’s regional hubs.

As part of an upgrade for the Saffron Hill hub, based in London’s Clerkenwell, an Océ Arizona 480GT and 480XT have both been installed, which will help improve productivity and workflow in and out of the facility, with the print room within the base also being revamped as part of the process.

At the same time the storage area within Saffron Hill has also been increased to help utilise space.

The Océ Arizona 480GT is capable of printing on a wide variety of media and objects, and is suitable for applications ranging from standard sign and display to point of sale display, retail signage and backlit signs to speciality and industrial applications, such as short run packaging, wallpaper and interior decoration.

The extra-large Océ Arizona 480XT UV flatbed printer produces near photographic image quality for printing on rigid or flexible media, including rigid displays, banners, window clings and backlits, all of which can provide an added value element to any display campaign.

In addition, two new HP wide-format printers have also been in situ since August within the Clerkenwell base, with the 1.52m wide HP Designjet Z6800 printers replacing two Canon iPF9000 machines, which have been moved to two of Callprint’s hubs in Manchester and Birmingham, to provide a wide-format service offering and also boost speed and production output.

The new equipment installations and revamps are part of the company’s on-going investment plan for its core business.

Commenting on the investment in new equipment and RIP upgrades, Callprint Group Managing Director, Steve Cheek, stated, “This upgrade will significantly increase the capacity and productivity of our large format hub in central London which will help us to reach the growth we are aiming for. Callprint will continue to invest in the latest equipment and processes giving our customers the best quality and service possible.”

These latest new equipment investments underline Callprint’s original statement of intention to continue to grow and develop its business operations.
