Kornit Digital to demonstrate the latest profitable textile printing options at SGIA

Press release from the issuing company

Digital direct-to-garment printing systems enable new business models and attractive margins for screen printers

Kornit Digital, a worldwide market leader for digital textile printing technology, will exhibit a broad range of fabric printing and garment decoration solutions at this year’s SGIA show, November 4-6, in Atlanta. The company is a Gold Sponsor of the event.

All samples and live demonstrations in Kornit’s booth will feature the company’s next-generation NeoPigmentTM Pure ink, delivering a superior hand-feel, improved color gamut and white-ink performance. NeoPigment Pure will be commercially available in North America in mid-October. All new Kornit systems will also start shipping with the new ink at this time.

Another highlight in the booth will be a hybrid screen and digital printing setup, based on an M&R Sportsman EX carousel and Kornit’s Paradigm II digital add-on module. M&R and Kornit Digital North America have teamed up in order to ensure seamless connectivity and “one touch operation” between the Paradigm II and M&R’s automatic carousels. This technology combination allows screen printers to produce and sell garments that cannot be done in analog or digital printing alone: inexpensive white bases and effects from screen are combined with photorealistic prints and mass-customization features from digital. Setup times and cost for print jobs are drastically reduced. M&R’s and Kornit’s North American sales and service teams have been trained on the combined solution in order to provide specific expertise and service.

Also on display will be two of Kornit Digital’s market-leading industrial direct-to-garment systems: the Avalanche Hexa and Storm II. The Avalanche Hexa is the company’s flagship product and is optimized for highest productivity and maximum color possibilities with its 20-heads and CMYRG + white ink configuration. The Avalanche Hexa is ideal for producers of promotional garments and fashion producers that need to match special or spot colors. The Kornit Storm II is the all-time industrial best seller and an extremely reliable, heavy-duty garment printing solution, capable of producing up to 150 garments / hour.

All of Kornit’s systems are based on the company’s unique NeoPigment printing process. Kornit’s own water-based pigment inks work on a variety of fibers (natural, man-made and blends) and allow for inline-pretreatment. After printing, garments are cured with a standard hot-air dryer. The inks are Oeko-Tex 100 certified and GOTS pre-approved.

Paul Borucki, Managing Director of Kornit Digital North America, comments: “In this day and age of environmental responsibility and ever increasing industrial regulations, customers can use Kornit’s inks with confidence. Kornit users provide a safe product to the environment and their customers. Now, with the market introduction of NeoPigment Pure, our chemists and application experts have managed to achieve an even better hand feel and gamut. And the best is, NeoPigment Pure can be used with all existing Kornit direct-to-garment systems!”
