PIA MidAmerica Launches Thought-Leadership Program

Press release from the issuing company

PIA MidAmerica has announced the re-branding of one of its continuing education programs – Quick Takes Tuesday. With support from EFI, the program will be broadcast as a free webinar to PIA MidAmerica members, who comprise one of the largest regional print trade associations in the United States.

“When the program was originally launched in Dallas/Fort Worth several years ago, it’s purpose was to keep our members abreast of technology and business practices,” stated Doug Kurkul, PIA MidAmerica’s president. “Although the 40-minute breakfast format utilizing industry speakers was well received, we realized that we were only reaching a small part of a very large audience, and with assistance from EFI, we’ll now be able to reach our 400+ member companies in a four state region.”

Quick Takes Tuesday webcasts are 45 minutes long and are scheduled for the last Tuesday of the month. The first webcast is set for Tuesday, October 27th at noon and will feature a presentation from Balcones Resources on industry recycling. “We have found that many of our members are constantly searching for information. Yet, because of the time it takes to drive across a metropolitan area, or if their place of business is hundreds of miles away, attending a program is difficult,” said B.J. Irvin, the Association’s Director of Education & Technology. “We think that this webcast will be a great tool for our members --- and at the right price!”

Future programs will cover a variety of topics including: solar power, ink jet technologies, workflow software, and enhanced finishing techniques. For more information about Quick Takes Tuesday, or any of the Association’s educational efforts, contact B.J. Irvin at [email protected] or (469) 249-8270.
