Baker Goodchild, supporting the “Bag it. Beat it.” campaign

Press release from the issuing company

Birmingham-based direct mail fulfilment and print management services provider, Baker Goodchild has used the month of September to support The British Heart Foundation’s “Bag it. Beat it.” campaign, which is a nationwide bag donation challenge to collect stock for British Heart Foundation shops to help fund and raise money for life saving heart research.

The direct mail fulfilment company is a long standing supporter of many charities, and they used the campaign to encourage their workforce to bring in and donate unwanted items such as old clothes, shoes, handbags, CD’s, DVDs, bric-a-brac and children’s toys. Following a tremendous response from the Baker Goodchild staff, at the end of September a branded British Heart Foundation van turned up at Baker Goodchild’s Birmingham offices to collect the vast amount of bags that had been collected together and donated by their workforce. All the filled bags were then transported to The British Heart Foundation for sorting and distribution amongst its many shops throughout the UK.

Commenting on the British Heart Foundation campaign, Baker Goodchild Managing Director, Lorraine Burnell, stated, “We (Baker Goodchild) always try and find worthy causes to lend our support to, and have been a long-standing supporter of many charitable causes over the years. We chose The British Heart Foundation’s Bag it. Beat it initiative as we all have items that we no longer need or use. So what better way than to donate them and help out this very worthwhile cause to raise funds for vital heart research.”
