KC Exec to Keynote NPIRI Fall Ink Industry Technical Conference

ATLANTA, Ga. – Kimberly-Clark Executive Al Marquardt will keynote at the National Printing Ink Research Institute (NPIRI) Fall Technical Conference, taking place Sept. 29 to Oct.1 at the Hilton Chicago Oak Brook Hills Resort and Conference Center.   Marquardt will focus on the importance of color, color consistency, color control, color communication, and the critical roles key players, including ink companies and their raw material suppliers, have in the process of printing consistent packaging around the world.

This year’s conference, themed “Trends and Directions in the Graphic Arts”, will also include a Food Packaging Safety Panel featuring experts from multiple packaging supply chain areas discussing current topics in the global food packaging market and each player’s role in achieving food packaging safety. Panelists include Jon Hellerstein from WestRock, Lisa Fine from Joules Angstrom, Allen Marquardt from Kimberly-Clark, Jim Bishop from Sun Chemical, and Chris Whitehead from British Coatings Federation.

The 2015 program, formatted for maximum educational and networking opportunities with a minimal time commitment, features an invaluable Short Course on “GHS Implementation: First Wave After the Tsunami,” led by Denese Deeds of Industrial Health and Safety Consultants, Inc., and Jonathan Hellerstein from WestRock; as well as Technical Spotlights and an Exhibitor Reception.

The program is divided into sessions focusing on technical issues, regulatory topics and new technology innovations. Speakers include subject matter experts from companies and organizations such as British Coatings Federation, WestRock, Sun Chemical Corporation, 3M, Sustainable Green Printing Partnership, Verso, Pantone/ERite, Kodak, BASF, K&H, Joules Angstrom, and Kimberly-Clark.
