FESPA invites printers to 'Become a Digital Print Hero'

Press release from the issuing company

The FESPA Digital 2016 global marketing campaign leaps into action, inviting speciality print service providers (PSPs) to Become a Digital Print Hero.

Returning to Amsterdam RAI, from 8-11 March 2016 for its tenth anniversary, FESPA Digital 2016 will occupy seven halls, covering 42,000 sqm (gross).

This year's multi-channel campaign features three superheroes, embodying the key technologies at the show; Digiman (digital printing), Textilewoman (textile printing) and ESEman (signage).

The FESPA Digital 2016 visitor campaign centres around the event website www.fespadigital.com where visitors and exhibitors can keep up to date with the latest show news. Site visitors will also have access to blogs from Digiman, Textilewoman and ESEman discussing the latest industry trends and themes. Also on the website will be a full list of show features including the conference programme; exhibitor list; floor plan; and travel and accommodation information, as well as the opportunity to register to attend. Visitors to the site can easily navigate to dedicated information about FESPA Textile (formerly FESPA Fabric) and European Sign Expo.

Increased Opportunities

European Sign Expo will once again take place alongside FESPA Digital 2016, showcasing innovations in non-printed signage.

The newly named FESPA Textile will offer visitors a hall dedicated to digital textile printing including garment decoration, soft signage and interior textiles.

Following its successful launch at last year's FESPA Global Expo, Printeriors has its own space within FESPA Digital 2016, highlighting creative, real-life interior applications that can be achieved with digital printing, for visitors to walk through and gain inspiration.

2016 marks the 10 year anniversary of the FESPA Digital branded show. FESPA Digital is the FESPA event focused on digital technology and applications, in contrast to the larger and more comprehensive Global Expo. The inaugural FESPA Digital was in 2006 at the RAI, Amsterdam, and since then the event has developed and grown over six further editions in Geneva (2008), Amsterdam (2009), Hamburg (2011), Barcelona (2012) and Munich (2014). FESPA Divisional Director, Roz McGuinness, comments: "We're thrilled to be returning to Amsterdam for next year's show, 10 years since we launched the spinoff Digital event. Back in 2006, FESPA championed digital printing and identified it as a growing area which would benefit from its own event, and it's fantastic to see how both the technology and event have matured in this timeframe.

"10 years on, our offering in digital printing is at its strongest yet. We have 200+ more exhibitors than at our launch event and with the complementary areas of FESPA Textile, European Sign Expo and Printeriors, there are more reasons than ever for speciality printers to come and investigate the event."

Roz concludes: "As with previous campaign themes, we like to create a story and an impact with our visuals and this year is no exception. The 'superhero' story emphasises the fact that digital, along with textile and signage have become the real opportunities for wide format printers over the past 10 years. The traits we associate with superheroes can be applied to our digital print community. Digital technology gives printers additional (super) powers and the potential to develop their businesses and just like our superheroes, they are stronger when combined. Being adaptable to changes in technology and customer demand is a strength of our community and at FESPA Digital 2016 visitors will be able to discover the tools and knowledge that will equip them for a powerful digital future."
