FreeFlow Core Cloud Wins 2015 MUST SEE ‘EMS Award to Lead Impressive Array of Xerox Workflow Announcements

Press release from the issuing company

NORWALK, Conn – The Xerox FreeFlow® Core Cloud has won a 2015 MUST SEE ‘EMS award to lead a robust rollout of new Xerox FreeFlow workflow solutions at Graph Expo. FreeFlow Core Cloud, the latest release of the primary platform offering in Xerox’s leadership workflow automation portfolio, is one of four enhanced workflow solutions Xerox is announcing at Graph Expo to address the automation needs of today’s print providers.

“To survive in today’s highly competitive print market, providers have two options: reduce costs or add services,” said Kevin Horey, vice president and general manager, Workflow & Solutions, Xerox. “Workflow automation enables both, and with these enhancements, we’re improving the way our customers work by making the industry’s easiest path to automation work better.”

Breaking down barriers to automation adoption

Xerox now offers cloud-based versions of two of its leading automation solutions, the award-winning FreeFlow Core and Xerox FreeFlow Digital Publisher. The cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) model eliminates two key barriers to workflow automation adoption:

  • Lack of IT support – the cloud systems are installed, managed and hosted securely by Xerox.
  • Large upfront capital costs – customers only pay for services they need.

The new FreeFlow Core Cloud solution makes automation simple. Xerox sets up, manages and hosts the solution enabling customers to simply log-in and start building workflows to automate their print processes. No hardware to install or to maintain and no in-house IT support is needed. FreeFlow Core Cloud removes the obstacles to automation so customers can increase their productivity.

Xerox FreeFlow Digital Publisher, which creates both print and mobile/online communications simultaneously using a single, unified workflow, is now available in two new configurations. A cloud option provides the same capabilities as the on-premise version, but in a SaaS model, and a new, cloud-based ePublishing configuration offers just the digital and mobile content production capabilities, for those who don’t need the print capability.

Breakthrough in transactional document design

The new version 14 of Xerox FreeFlow VI Suite, one of the industry’s most flexible and powerful personalization solutions, now enables designers to create moderately demanding transactional applications in familiar Adobe InDesign software. The suite’s VI Design Express plug-in for InDesign now supports importing transactional data; creating dynamic, data-driven pie, line and bar charts; dynamic invoice tables; and PDF and PDF/VT output.

FreeFlow Print Server moves to Windows

The iGen® 5 is the first Xerox production press to offer the new Xerox FreeFlow Print Server on a Windows-based platform. The Windows platform enables easier integration with today’s production print workflows and supports the fifth color station on the latest iGen press.

Availability

Xerox FreeFlow Core Cloud, the new configurations of Xerox FreeFlow Digital Publisher and Version 14 of the Xerox FreeFlow VI Suite are available worldwide immediately. The Xerox FreeFlow Print Server for the iGen5 Press platform will be available worldwide by the end of September.
