“It was exciting to facilitate this session with Canada’s C.J. Graphics and packaging converter Boutwell Owens of Massachusetts,” said Sherburne. “Jay Mandarino, Ward McLaughlin and Bill Lorenz were very enthusiastic about how digital cutting and creasing is adding value to their businesses. For many organizations, finishing is still a bottleneck and a limitation to the creativity of designers. In the replay, you’ll hear how these two firms have added value and opened significant new opportunities for them and their customers in both commercial print and folding carton, and come away with great new ideas for your business.”

Sherburne was joined by:

Ward McLaughlin, CEO,  and  Bill Lorenz, VP of Operations, Boutwell Owens. The first packaging job the company undertook was the Victrola needle package around the turn of the century – that’s last century, not this one! Boutwell Owens’ adoption of digital cutting and creasing is another example in the long history of a company that has always stayed on the leading edge and embraced technology.

  • Jay Mandarino, CEO, C.J. Graphics, Inc.  C.J. Graphics is one of 23 companies in the C.J. Group of Companies that offer printing, publishing and more.  Mandarino will speak about how digital cutting and creasing can enhance the value of commercial print and direct mail applications.

“This was one of the most dynamic sessions we have hosted, which reflects the difference digital cutting and creasing is making in these businesses,” said Eric Vessels, President of WhatTheyThink. ”Attendees also had the ability to download an educational white paper sure to spark even more creative thinking. We appreciate the generosity of Highcon in sponsoring this important industry event, making it available to our viewers at no charge.”
