Press release from the issuing company

Award winning IC3D Suite now features 3D modeling capabilities, the industry’s fastest shrink/undistort, and native PDF artwork handling

Dover, DE – Revolutionary 3D packaging design and visualization software, IC3D Suite, debuts at IGAS 2015 September 11-16, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. IC3D Suite innovator Creative Edge Software will partner with CGS Japan, Inc. in booth (3-6) to celebrate the launch of the software’s Japanese version. A 2014 recipient of the InterTech™ Technology Award and 2015 Graph Expo “Must See Em’s” award, IC3D Suite brings users easy 3D model creation, application of artwork in real-time and ultimately the visualization of how a final package will appear before reaching production. This dramatically reduces revision timelines and eliminates the need for multiple rounds of mock-ups.

IC3D Suite caters to an extensive range of package types from flexibles, shrink film, bottles, folded cartons and more. Special effects like metallic foils, holograms, emboss and lenticular are visualized accurately on screen, and a direct link to Adobe Illustrator ensures seamless communication of artwork files onto models. Primary and secondary packaging can then be placed onto shelves, into a POS or even animated. Everything created in IC3D Suite can be shared with customers or team members via hi-res images, 3D PDF’s, movie files, augmented reality or via a free 3D viewer. Current users are saying the following about IC3D Suite:

  • “IC3D Suite was easy to learn. No need for previous 3D training or experience.”
  • “We use IC3D Suite to show clients how finished products will appear in-store.”
  • “Our team was able to drop weeks off our packaging development calendar while also eliminating the need for multiple rounds of physical proofs.”
  • “IC3D is a great complement to our existing tools. Fastest shrink in the industry!”

Announcing IC3D Automate

In many packaging workflows, the process of developing multiple designs across multiple structures or formats begins with the creation of a 3D model. Then an operator manually processes changes to the graphics to generate multiple iterations. In this labor-intensive system, time adds up quickly and costs continue to mount. Now with IC3D Automate, users can completely eliminate the manual process and easily integrate the software with any common production workflow and DAM system.

IC3D Automate opens an IC3D design file “hands-free” and runs automated actions on it ranging from replacing textures or artwork, outputting high resolution JPEG and PNG images at specific camera angles, generating PDF’s, 3D PDF’s and more.

For a live demonstration of IC3D Suite or to learn how the software can increase your 3D process with quicker speed to market, elimination of human error, and enhanced overall productivity, visit IGAS 2015 from September 11-16 in booth (3-6).
