Press release from the issuing company

Düsseldorf, Germany - Stand 5D24: The Economic Daily Newspaper in Beijing is the first Chinese company to sign an order with Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) during drupa for a KPG Newsetter TH180 platesetter system. The company prints a wide range of newspaper and magazine, including the Economic Daily, Beijing Youth Daily, Entertainment News, Beijing Evening News and News Information Daily. The system will be installed at the newspaper's new prepress room in June. Comments director Mr Zhu Youning: "We needed a solution that is both productive and high-quality and the KPG Newsetter will bring both these benefits to our workflow whilst also reducing waste and make-ready." Adds Paul Loh, KPG China managing director: "We are delighted with the interest we have had from customers. It is clear that thermal plate technology remains the best solution for newspaper production." The KPG Newsetter TH180 is suitable for many newspaper formats including panorama, tabloid and broadsheet. It is a high-quality, versatile solution capable of outputting up to 180 plates per hour. The modular design of the system allows the customer to choose a fully automated operation, or a semi-automated configuration and provides the option to manually load the plates into the Newsetter and unload directly from the processor.
