KPG Sells First Kodak Approval System In Hong Kong

Press release from the issuing company

Düsseldorf, Germany - Stand 5D24: The Hong Kong subsidiary of Paxar - a global retail solutions provider - signed an order with Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) for a Kodak Approval XP Digital Halftone Proofing System - the first in Hong Kong. Paxar has also confirmed an ongoing order for KPG Electra Excel plates to run on a new Screen PT-R four-up computer-to-plate system - also part of the order. Paxar provides technology, design, identification and consulting systems to help retailers and apparel manufacturers maximise efficiency from concept to checkout. The Kodak Approval will be used to accurately represent how labels will appear on press. The Kodak Approval XP Digital Proofing System combines colour accuracy and speed to create an attractive tool for both commercial and package printers. The fully automated, SWOP certified system controls density and dot gain for image integrity and allows proofing on actual substrates for the most accurate prediction of the printing process. With the use of Kodak Recipe Color Software and white, blue, orange, green and metallic donors, the Kodak Approval can replicate virtually any spot colour. Electra Excel Thermal Printing Plate is a second generation, no pre-heat, thermal printing plate that provides precise and repeatable dots on press. The plate's wide spectral response optimises performance and productivity when used with a variety of platesetters currently on the market.
