Smith Brings Expertise in Wide Format Digital Printing to Aurora’s Print Media Sales Force

YORKVILLE, ILLINOIS - Christian Smith, formerly with Next Wave Media Solutions, has joined Aurora Specialty Textiles Group’s sales organization as the Wide Format Print Media Sales Account Manager for the company’s South Central territory.  In this new position, which begins July 21, 2015, Smith’s focus will be to manage the wide and grand format print markets in a region that includes Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.  His office will be located in Houston, Texas.

“Smith’s 15 years of sales, technical support and customer service to wide format digital printer customers will be a tremendous asset to both ASTG and ASTG’s new and existing customers,” said Mark Shaneyfelt, Director of Sales and Marketing-Print Media at ASTG. “Christian is factory-trained and certified on many of the industry’s most popular wide-format printers and has extensive experience in technical sales and service. He is also expert in the successful installation of wide format digital printing equipment, including HP, Mimaki, Reggiani Machine SPA and Seiko, to name just a few,” Shaneyfelt added.  “This depth of expertise will help our clients successfully transition their printing operations to include a broad range of digitally printable textiles.” 
 
At Next Wave Media Solutions, Smith worked globally with key accounts and helped customers redesign operations to increase productivity and maximize machine up-time.  He holds a BS in Information Technology from Phoenix University.
