OMET Launches NEW iFLEX label printer

Press release from the issuing company

New label press has easier set up and higher quality of output

WEST HARTFORD, Conn – Recently at the “Welcome To The Future” event in Lecco Italy, OMET officially presented their new iFLEX label press printer. An emerging theme of the printing industry is the concept, less is more; upholding this new standard, the iFLEX has a reduced set up time paired with lower maintenance, leading to higher versatility than ever seen before.

The iFLEX features the iLIGHT laser, the first application of lasers in flexography. It automatically finds the best alignment of the plate holder to speed up the changeover and register time and simplify printer work.

The iFLEX introduces one of the shortest web path (1300 mm) on the narrow web press market, allowing for maximum material savings on each job.  Moreover, iFLEX features an innovative Direct Drive control system that increases the precision of each print.

A feature of the iFLEX label printer at the end of the manufacturing line is quick change die-cutting (QCDC). It is possible to prepare the die cylinder offline on a trolley, meaning there is no need for lifting hoists.

OMET’s sales and marketing director, Marco Calcagni spoke about the release saying, "iFLEX fills a technology gap on today’s market as it is the ideal complement for small and large label converters with just-in-time deliveries that requires quick change and low waste capabilities, as well as the flexibility to print any job, no matter the volume, with a very high ROI.”
