Matik, Inc. Welcomes Service Engineer

Well-respected Hot Foil expert to help serve growing customer base  

WEST HARTFORD, Conn – Matik, Inc. announced that Alex Balke joined the company adding further depth to its technical machine support operations as a Service Engineer, with a focus on Gietz Hot Foil Stamping. Matik’s desire to fully support its client base created a need for more efficient service, maintenance, and support, in order to keep up with a higher level of production activity. Balke comes to Matik with over a decade of experience in the industry. Having spent the last seven years at SPM Steuer GmbH & Co. KG, Alex trained operators as well as servicing, and assembling, machines.  He also worked as a service technician for several companies in different industries over a twelve year period, granting him a high level of versatility and the ability to adapt to various situations. 

Balke is a determined individual, who has obtained various certificates of professional development throughout his career. Most notable are the Certificates in PLC control engineering and electrical engineering, coming from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Germany. 

David Siegel, Vice President of Parts, Service and Support of Matik, Inc. said “We are very fortunate to have found Alex to head our Gietz support.  An engineer with the skills and experience Alex possesses doesn’t come around too often, and for him to come to the United States at this time is a benefit to all of Matik’s Gietz customers. This allows us to offer a whole new level of support for our foil stamping and embossing customers.”
