No less than three important awards were given to the GREBE Holding GmbH and its subsidiaries in the last six months. 

TOP 100 of medium-sized enterprises

For the fifth year in a row, the Munich Strategy Group (MSG) selected the 100 fastest-growing and most profitable German medium-sized businesses. This is based on performance data as well as strategy data of about 3.300 medium-sized companies, which are recorded in a therefore specifically designed database. The top 100 German medium-sized companies can stand out from the masses due to their excellent performance in the last five years. They are undisputed market leaders in their sectors and regions, possess strategic vision and expand their lead from the competitors continuously.

Lexicon of German global leaders

Furthermore the GREBE Holding GmbH – to which besides WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH and WEILBURGER Coatings GmbH as the two biggest subsidiaries companies belong actually 22 other companies with a total of twelve production plants worldwide – is represented in the second issue of the “Lexicon of German global leaders” of the Wirtschaftsverlag Deutsche Standards EDITIONEN. This documents in its extensive new edition the special positions and innovation strength of German businesses. Editors of the lexicon are the publishers Dr. Florian Langenscheidt and professor Dr. Bernd Vernohr.

“The lexicon offers a living overview across all industries over companies – often family-owned businesses and mid-market oriented – which acquired an excellent market position on the global market due to their products. German global leaders stand for quality leadership as well as technology leadership. These strengths and capacities are rather unknown to the general public”, says Dr. Florian Langenscheidt.

The high quality standard of the lexicon guarantees a top-class advisory board with prestigious representatives from German industry associations, media and research institutes. As a basis of research the data base “Deutsche Weltmarkführer” (German global leaders) by Professor Dr. Bernd Venohr was used. The selection criterion for the inclusion of the company into the data base is a position among the top three companies within a specific branch worldwide.

German Compliance Prize 2015

Representative for the continuous compliance implementation in all companies of the GREBE Holding GmbH, the WEILBURGER Coatings GmbH was awarded with the “Deutschen Compliance Preis 2015” (German Compliance Prize 2015) within the German compliance conference in Berlin on 23th March together with three other German companies

The company was acknowledged for the role model function and for the verification that the adherence of all legal obligations and compliance responsibilities in the company is possible and feasible.

Prescribed are the terms and conditions by the legal situation, relevant legal requirements and decisions by the federal court regarding organisational faults.

All award winners show that a functional compliance organization can also be established in medium-sized structures and public administration. Exemplary are the consistent systematization of the compliance duties and the solid embedding of the compliance system within the company throughout the whole command structure, which ensures the consequent use and development of the compliance organization. Besides the compliance with justice and law, the integrity and sustainability are also mentioned as part of the compliance understanding.

Founders of the award are the dfv media group, DQS GmbH – German association for the certification of management systems – as well as the law firm Rack attorneys.

A top-class jury with representatives from research, associations and experience decided on the awarding of the prizes. The group included Götz Blechschmidt (DQS), Armin Fladung (compliance consultant/business consultant), Professor Dr. Annemarie Matusche-Beckmann (Saarland University), Dr. Manfred Rack (Rack attorneys), Sönke Reimers (dfv media group), Professor Dr. Martin Schulz (GGS), Eric S. Soong (Schaeffler Group), Professor Dr. Gerald Spindler (Goettingen University), Martin Stadelmaier (Airport Stuttgart GmbH).
