Konica Minolta Launches Education Solution to Help Schools Raise Productivity and Lower Costs

Press release from the issuing company

SINGAPORE - Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia (BSA) is pleased to launch its Education Solution to help schools raise productivity and lower costs. Designed with school staff, students and administrators in mind, the Education Solution will improve workflow efficiencies, enhance productivity and effectively manage printing needs.

Under BSA's Medium Term Business Plan "TRANSFORM 2016," one of Konica Minolta's major management policies is business expansion by increasing capabilities to provide services and solutions.

"With our expertise in streamlining and optimizing business communication and information, we hope to extend it to the education sector and increase productivity in schools," said Mr. Jonathan Yeo, General Manager, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia Pte. Ltd.

The Education Solution will help to reduce wastage and keep costs under control in several ways. It features user and cost management functions which allows school staff, students and administrators to print what they need, and when they need it.

Schools will be able to track usage patterns and assign printing expenditures to the relevant departments or individuals. The tracking system will help identify inefficiencies and thereby help encourage responsible printing. It is fully compatible with Konica Minolta Multi-function Printers (MFP). Rules can be applied to set quotas and print policies, and manage color output.

Through Pull Printing mechanism, printing becomes secure and convenient, with print jobs released only when users authenticate at the device of their choice. Users can choose to release print jobs with password, card or biometric authentication.

Konica Minolta Multi-function Printers (MFP) streamlines the grading process as teachers can print multiple choice bubble sheets, scan students' completed bubble sheets and print grade reports. With this easy grading system, teachers can reduce their time in grading and be able to spend more quality time, interacting with the students.
