Elsie Y. Cross Associates Selects Cadmus ArticleWorks

Press release from the issuing company

RICHMOND, Va., June 3 -- Cadmus Communications Corporation announced today that Elsie Y. Cross Associates, Inc. (EYCA) has signed a multi-year agreement to use ArticleWorks(SM) to deliver secure PDF files and print-on-demand journal content. Elsie Cross publishes The Diversity Factor, the premier journal in the field of diversity. Using ArticleWorks will allow EYCA to offer article downloads protected by a unique digital rights management (DRM) solution that does not require the reader to download any additional software applications or plug-ins. In addition to the secure PDF feature, ArticleWorks also gives Diversity Factor customers a cost-effective option of ordering single copy or small print-on- demand quantities. All orders will be placed through The Diversity Factor website (http://diversityfactor.rutgers.edu) and fulfilled by Cadmus. Wendy Conklin, Editor of The Diversity Factor, remarked "We see this as a great opportunity to serve our various constituents in a way that is quick and easy for them to use, and also minimize our staff efforts in providing these services. Cadmus' e-commerce component takes the effort out of collecting fees for our content, and fulfilling requests. Non-subscribers get quick and easy access to our content, with same-day access to the PDF, and next-day delivery of hard copies. Our e-subscribers now have the option of ordering a hard copy of any article or issue they wish. We feel that this service helps us disseminate our content in a timely manner, and achieves our mission of effecting comprehensive and strategic change that ensures the integration of all subordinated groups into the workforce." "We're delighted to help Elsie Y. Cross Associates achieve its goals by using our innovative distribution technology," states Hai Tran, Senior Vice President of Technology and Strategic Development. "As the publishing community moves further toward electronic distribution, we're happy to provide a solution that enables greater access to the electronic version, but also delivers printed copies as single articles, single issues, or a hand-selected collection of articles."
