Mac Papers Hires Kathleen Wentworth as Director of Human Resources

Press release from the issuing company

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Mac Papers, one of the largest merchant distributors in the Southeast U.S., today named Kathleen Wentworth as Director of Human Resources. Wentworth is now responsible for leading the company’s human and organizational initiatives, including strategic planning, recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations and acquisition integration. Wentworth replaces Darnell Babbit, Vice President of Human Resources, who has retired after 22 years with the company.

Wentworth comes to Mac Papers with more than 23 years of human resources experience in the Jacksonville area. Most recently, she served for the last 12 years as Director of Human Resources at Jacksonville-based DPH Services LLC (formerly ICS Logistics), where she managed the human resources infrastructure for the three-state, multi-facility distribution company of more than 550 employees. She was responsible for strategic and day-to-day human resource operations and counseled executives in key business initiatives.

“As a company, we’ve always believed that our people are our greatest asset, so it’s imperative to find a human resources leader that will continue to make Mac Papers a place where employees want to come and stay,” said Sutton McGehee, chairman and CEO of Mac Papers. “We believe Kathy’s knowledge, experience and leadership will continue to advance our organizational development, strengthen our workforce and support the professional growth of our employees.”

Wentworth also worked in Jacksonville for Momentum Logistics, Inc., E-Dr.com and Southeast Toyota Distribution Inc. She received her Associate of Arts in Applied Business at the University of Akron, her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development at Webster University in Jacksonville and her Juris Doctor at the Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville.
